Pay Back!

Jake is taller, heavier, stronger and rougher than Zack. On this day, something got into Zack and he decided to jump on Jake's back and, "RIDE JACOB!!" Of course I had to grab my camera and record the moment before I helped Jake. He looks quite confused doesn't he? But Zack sure looks happy and proud! LOL! :)

A Little Off The Ears...

The boys were starting to look shaggy so I gave them haircuts. This time they got to enjoy lolly pops while I was cutting and it helped keep them happy longer. I only had to run the lolly pop under the water a few times to get the hair off. *L* I wish Jake would get some hair on the sides of his head so he could have a different haircut. He looks so bald to me now!!....actually they both do but they're still cute as ever! :)

More Popsicles And Baby Book Dirt!

We had a another Popsicle play date but this time at the park. I only got this picture of Zack and Jake enjoying their treat but believe me all the other kids enjoyed theirs too! Although I do have to mention that sand, popsicles, and toddlers don't mix well. *L* As an added treat, Grammy met us at the park! The boys were very excited and ran across the lawn to meet her.

I would like to share that 10 years and 1 day after my first date with Brian, I found Jacob eating his own poop for the first time. *hUrL!* If I could have seen 10 years into the future 10 years ago there might not have been a second date! *kAcK!*

Flashback Friday!! A Loooooong Time Ago!

This is me and my big sister Brenda at our first trip to Disneyland in 1977.

I was not quite 5 yearls old yet and I loved every minute of it!!

First Trip To The Dentist!

Zack and Jake had their first visit to the dentist and it went GREAT! Much better than I'd expected it to go since teeth brushing with them can be a physical struggle with lots of fussing. We took them in because they had developed dark staining on their teeth which was freaking me out! I tried to look online to see what it could be....food stains....tartar....decay....fluoride stains but what I was seeing on their teeth wasn't like the pictures I was seeing online. I was so worried and confused because we brush twice a day, they don't drink juice, have never been to bed with a bottle, and don't eat too much sugary stuff. I was stumped and stressed! Luckily my sister Diana referred me to the pediatric dentist that my niece Karlee went to and we made an appointment. We took them in fully expecting major meltdowns but they were soooo good! No tears! The best part is the dentist said it wasn't anything to be worried about and he was able to scrub it off quickly with his tools and some pumice toothpaste. PHEW! The dentist explained that when baby teeth erupt through the skin they have a coating on them that is supposed to wear off over time through biting and chewing on foods but theirs hadn't worn off and had been stained. PHEW!! Now they are both back to having pearly whites! No more pirate teeth! We were in and out of there in like 40 minutes! :)

Zack's turn! He was a little more apprehensive but still did GREAT! I think both Brian and I were more worried about Zack because he tends to be more fussy during brushing times. I think these boys enjoy proving us wrong! ;)

After their cleaning they got to pick out some toys and they also got new toothbrushes, covers, floss, and paste in a handy carrying case! Here they are at home checking out their new toothbrushes!

Happy 4th of July!

Sadly....this is the only picture we took on 4th of July! Brian made the boys breakfast and then he realized it was red, white, and blue so he took a picture. Too bad the boys faces aren't in it. ;) *L*

Our 4th was really low key this year. We didn't have plans and then we were invited to watch fireworks about 30 minutes away but since they didn't start until 9:30 we decided not to make the drive since the boys usually go to bed at 7:30. Maybe next year Auntie Tiff and Uncle Tom! Last minute we got a call from our friends Amy, Andrew and baby Daniel to see if we wanted to get together. They came over for dinner and we bbq'd some chicken and shrimp and had a nice salad. My good friend Mel made an appearance for a little while to catch up and spend some time with Zack and Jake. Overall it was a nice day spent with good friends. Hope everyone's was happy and safe!
