DiSnEyLaNd!!!

The trip was a success! It had it's ups and downs but all in all I had fun and am ready to go back again....RIGHT NOW! :)

We....Me, Brian, the Boys, and my Mom....left on Wednesday, 11/21 later than planned. The car ride ended up being just over 10 hours...ugh! We made a lot of little stops and a long stop to eat. When we finally got to our motel it was quite a disappointment. I had booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite and we were given a disgusting 2 room, 1 bath abomination. I went back to the front desk to complain but was told that there were no 2 bath rooms avail. They offered a nightly credit upon checkout...I guess they wanted to make sure I didn't bolt first! I got back to the room and really took a good look around and was quite shocked. It was by far the worst motel room I've ever stayed in. My Mom ended up complaining to management after 2 nights and we were moved into a much nicer room for our final 2 nights....nicer, but still on the gross side. Anyway, on to the fun stuff!

We spent 3 days at Disneyland...Thanksgiving, Friday, and Saturday and came home on Sunday. The drive home took a little over 7 hours.....MUCH BETTER!!! PHEW! The boys did great and the weather was PERFECT!!! The boys didn't cry on any rides and really liked Santa and the characters that we took pictures with. They laughed and smiled....it was so cute! I was worried that they would cry but they seemed to like the rides. We did the kiddie rides and best of all Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion! I can't wait to take them again when they are a little older!

The two hardest things about the trip was napping and holding them while in line. They are HEAVY and holding a squirmy baby for 20-30 minutes is hard! The other thing was the napping....it seemed like one was always asleep while the other was awake so for the first day we didn't do much. By the second day, we took the awake one on rides while the other one slept. It ended up working out fine. On the third day we let the boys sleep extra long for their morning nap and got to the park around 12:30 that way we could try to keep them up a little later at the park so they could see all the lights. It worked pretty good because we didn't end up leaving the park until around 9pm so they got to see lots of lights and go on Pirates and Haunted Mansion in the DARK! EEEEE!!!!

I took way too many pictures to post here so I'm just putting up a few (yeah right), but here's a link to my Shutterfly album so you can peak at all the pictures: share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8EZt2blqyatk8
So....all in all, it was GREAT and I will remember their little smiles forever.

Pictures don't tell the true story of the smiles and laughter the boys showed! Great shots... They indeed were troopers and really did enjoy themselves! :)

Oh my Gosh! These pictures are GREAT! The boys look so so so so cute and happy! Sounds like a wonderful time - minus the room. I am planning an 11 hour road trip in March. So send me any tips on how to keep the babies happy:) Oh, and my husband is not coming with us:( Should make for an even bigger adventure!

Hi there - I saw your blog through Jill's (Blessedwithtwo) blog. I have b/g twins (10 months). That is so neat that you went to Disneyland - I LOVE that place & my husband and I can't wait to take our two. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I loved looking at your pictures and it made me very excited for when we go (someday). Such cute babies you have!

Need Christmas or Birthday Gift Ideas??
