My Mom and I took the boys to the beach for the second time ever today! The first time they were almost 6 months old and not really sitting up on their own. This time at almost 18 months (on Wednesday the 23rd) they were walking, climbing, scooping sand into buckets, picking up rocks and sticks, and pointing to seagulls. They had a great time exploring and didn't eat much sand really. It was a nice time....not too hot and not too cold like it can be at Northern California beaches. We headed home just as the fog started to roll in. And by the way....the hats they are wearing this time are the same hats they wore in last years pictures! They were bobble heads as infants! :)

You guys are so lucky to have a beach so close to you, that looks like fun! You got a bunch of good pictures of the boys (I felt bad for the poor bird) :(. I loved the zipper shot - ha ha.
ps - No. Cal sand must be different from So. Cal, it looks more grayish?
Cute pics. It's amazing how much fun they can have with just some sand and driftwood!
LOL at the comment on my blog. You're right, they are giraffes! My husband also pointed out that ducks don't have ears. Oy.
Thats so cool! We may need to take them to the Lake MIchigan beach soon (its only 15 min from here, but we never go). I wish we could visit N.CA!!!
