Easter Pictures

Baskets with hideous eggs that Mommy dyed at the last minute. :)
Zack picked out the egg that I put stickers all over. Jake surveyed the baskets with his carrot bat in hand.
Jake decided that he just wanted the pin wheel from Grammy.

All dressed for Easter and Zack is still checking things out.

Brian and I took our Mom's to Outback Steakhouse for Easter with the boys. We had a very yummy meal! When our meal was over we decided to put the boys on the lawn in front of Outback. Jake HATED the grass. I laughed so hard that I cried. *LMAO*
"MOOOOOMMMM!! HELLLP! UP! UP!"
Zack says, "Jake?!? What's the big deal? It's just grass you Dork."

"Grass is cool....and so am I."

"What's that smell? Dad, check your shoes."

Jake Can Too!

Jake can stand up without pulling up too now. Only a few weeks behind Zack. I can't believe what little men I have! I'm so lucky!

Cheap...BUT EFFECTIVE Baby Proofing!

Time to baby proof the doors since Jake can get them open!
We bought the baby proof things for door knobs but they failed miserably so we bought these hinge type locks at Home Depot for like $2.00 each and they work great!!

eeeeexxxxxcccccellent!!

Jake's New Thing....

It appears to be contagious....and Auntie Mel caught it!

Don't worry....we administered the antidote before she went out in public....just in the nick of time!! PHEW!! It was too late for Jake though....this is a permanent condition for him. Heehee!! :P

First bloody injury... :(

We've had more than our fair share of bumps and bruises since the boys became mobile but tonight was the worst. :(
We just finished bath time and Brian plopped down on the ugly Spidey couch to read to the boys. Zack was sitting on Brian's chest and then....
along....
came....
Jake....
*Shudder*
For those who have seen Jake walking in person you can probably picture this in your minds....vividly. For those who do not know, Jake resembles a staggering drunk with a peg leg when he walks. Although it's cute and funny to watch, he seems to get hurt more often than not while on his way to his intended destination.
Tonight's final destination was Dad's forehead vs. Jake's teeth.
*OUCH!!*
Brian ended up with a cut forehead and Jake ended up with a bloody lip. :( I think this kid must have shark teeth. I don't think Brian and I are prepared for the injury filled future....ugh. I better make sure I keep working in the Air Ambulance industry....and I hope Shout Stain Remover gets the blood out of his jammies. :(

Cookies and Milk!

My Boss Joanne gave me a few Mrs. Fields Nibblers to bring home to the boys. Auntie Mel (The department lead) didn't think the cookies would make it home to the boys....because she knows I have no self control.....but I did! Although.....the boys almost didn't get the cookies because they had nuts in them. I was a little afraid that they might choke so I watched them like a hawk. No choking! Just babies enjoying cookies and Mommy enjoying babies.

Noggin Coma ~ Part II

Nothing like chilling in front of Dad's computer.... after a nice bath.... watching a little Moose A. Moose on Noggin.... to end the day. :)
~

COME OOOONNN! Who Can Resist Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie?!?

Nobody in this house obviously.... :)

Noggin Coma ~ Part I

The boys love Noggin....a little too much.....and hey, I know too much TV is not a good idea but they pretty much only watch Noggin and really seem to love a few shows. They are starting to dance a little to some of the songs and it's so cute to see their faces light up when they see their favorite...Moose A. Moose and Zee. Here is a picture of Zack. He drags his ugly Spidey couch all over the place but this time he drug it directly in front of the TV and decided to take a load off. I couldn't help but take a picture. :)
Hey look! A Couch Tot!
.....and Jacob chewing on a dog toy....*kAcK!*

Two Foot Six And LOVING Every Inch!

The boys finally had their 1 year checkup on Monday....at 13 1/2 months. They're doing great! Here are the numbers:

Zack

23 lbs, 3 oz

30.31 inches

Jake

23 lbs, 10 oz

30.71 inches

They're always neck and neck in weight and height although I'm a bit surprised that their numbers didn't change much from their 10 month checkup. They've only grown about an inch and gained about 2 lbs over the last 3 months....seems weird to me....I wonder if it's because we stopped formula....??? Anyway, the doctor said they're right where they should be so I guess worry wart Mommy should just simmer down. :) They also had their shots...which is never great, but they are troopers. Only a few tears... :(

New Toy Box!

The boys inherited a toy box from Aunt Tiffany. After we took this picture we put safety foam on the corners and loaded it with toys. They've figured out how to open and close the lid and get their toys out. It would be great if they could PUT THEIR TOYS AWAY too.
In time...................I hope......
Zack says, "I'm gonna pop up and you shout 'Zack in the Box!' OK Mom!?! One.......Two......Threeeeee!! "MOOOMMM! You didn't say 'Zack in the Box!' And what's Jake doing in here?? It's not Jake in the Box, it's ZACK IN THE BOX!"

Zack's The Man!

Zack is able to stand up without pulling up on anything! It's so fun to see him with his little butt up in the air and his hands walking back towards his feet...then tada!....standing up! I wonder how long before Jake masters this. These two never cease to amaze me and Brian. :)

Shoes

Mommy: "Jake...can you say 'Mommy'?"
Jake: "No."
Mommy: "Jake...can you say 'Daddy'?"
Jake: "No."
Mommy: "Did you have a good day?"
Jake: "No."
Mommy: "Are you tired?"
Jake: "No."
Mommy: "Are you hungry?"
Jake: "No."
Mommy: "Can you say anything other than 'No'?"
Jake: "No."
Mommy: "Jake...can you say shoes?"
Jake: "Shoes."
