SAHM I AM!

I was working full time when I got pregnant.
I worked full time until I went out on bed rest at 28 weeks.
I went back to work full time on 5/16/07 when my twins were 16 weeks old.
My full time job is about to change into Stay At Home Mom! YIPPEE!!
Last Monday I gave my 2 weeks notice at work and my last day will be Friday, May 9th....almost exactly one year to the day that I returned to work from maternity leave. I will be working part time in the mornings for Brian's company while he gets the boys up and fed and then he will be off to work at the office and I will become SAHM!
I'm very excited!....and very scared!....and of course very sad that I will be leaving my job that I love and my extended work family. This has been a stressful decision but its falling into place fairly easily so Brian and I are trusting that we are doing the right thing for our boys and our family. Hopefully my new full time job will make for more interesting posts! Stay tuned! :)

How exciting Jenny!! I was nervous too when I left my job (I went back to work for just a little bit after my maternity leave). It feels so good to be home with them during the day. Have you ever visited the twins magazine board? If not, you should visit. It's nice to talk to other twin moms there to help make you feel like you are not alone all day, because some days you go crazy only having two toddlers to talk to. Anyway, I'm very happy for you, you'll love being home!

I am happy for you too. Like I told you in my email this will be the best thing for the boys. You will notice even more improvements with them. They will feel safer and calmer since you are home with them and it is stable. The fact that you and Brian said that things are falling into place so easy is a really good sign. When I finally decided to quite my job (Bug was a little over a year old) I was scared, excited, and worried, but things fell into place for us too and I take that as a very big sign that this is what God wanted for us to do. It helped Bug so much and I have been blessed to be home with him. Don't get me wrong- there are days I want and need a break but then at the end of the night I look at him sleeping in his bed and I am happy and filled up with love for him and everything that happened during the day doesn't matter.
You are going to be a GREAT SAHM!!!!

Very cool! I love being home. There are moments I dream of being out in the working world again, but they grow so fast that it is time well-spent being home with them!!!

I'm so happy for you and jealous, too. This is the age where the babies start doing so many things, so I feel like I'm missing a lot. But, I'll be home with them all summer (I'm a teacher), so that should help. Wait, why I am I talking about myself so much when this post was about you?? Back to you [focus, Katie, focus]... congratulations-- I bet you'll LOVE it! :)

CONGRATS!!! Wow, you only have a few more days left! I am looking forward to all the exciting new posts:) You can also send cutesy emails from Zack and Jake to their Dad at work. I LOVE doing that for Scott! He loves it too.
