- Took care of two sick babies.
- Six loads of laundry.
- Thawed and cooked a 20 lb turkey (with stuffing and mashed potatoes...OK, instant stuffing and mashed potatoes) that has been in our freezer...taking up too much room...for far too long.
- Made two trays of turkey enchiladas with the left over turkey meat to replace the empty spot in the freezer left by the turkey. I know...that pretty much cancels out the above accomplishment but it took a day in the sink to thaw and almost five hours to cook so I think it counts!
- Took three walks with the boys in the stroller.
- Went to Walmart.
- Went to the grocery store...twice. (What a pain! It's crummy that the grocery store doesn't have double seater carts!...pushing the boys in their stroller and dragging a cart behind me was brutal on my wrists!)
- Went to Costco.
- Swiffered three times.
- Wrestled a barely alive, crushed, and partially dismembered Horny Gulif (aka: Mosquito Hawk) from Jake's sweaty fist. Good times People!
- Chased and caught two marathon runny noses.
- Answered countless wrong number calls..."Noooooo...this is not Pace Supply."
- Hid behind the door...staring silently through the peep hole...at two sets of solicitors.
- Watched a neighbors canopy fly over the fence into another neighbors yard during a wind storm. It's still sitting there...mangelled...two days later.
- Went to Target.
- Cleaned the sliding glass doors and doggy door.
- Cleaned one of our three toilets.
- Worked from 5 to 8 am every day doing data entry for my part time job.
PHEW!! I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something but the above list will have to do.
The pinnacle of this week was getting denied for individual medical coverage through Kaiser...who is my current carrier through the job I just left...."Helllooo Kaiser, it's me Kaiser member Jenny!?!??" So...as of 6/1 I will be uninsured. Sweet.... Brian and the boys were accepted but they denied me as of now, and need an additional four weeks for review of my medical records. Seems my blood disorder (that resulted in the DVT ((aka: blood clot)) I got when I was pregnant) is a red flag. I told the Kaiser rep on the phone that I was not currently being treated but I guess it doesn't make a difference. UGH! I can elect cobra while I await their decision but that is going to cost an arm and a leg...which I can't spare ...so poor house here I come!! Anyway...even with the above Kaiser pitfall, I can still manage to say it was a great week! My new life is harder than I thought it was going to be, but it's growing on me. :)

Wow, what a week! I was going to ask how it was going with the SAHM. You accomplished a lot in one week. I had to laugh at the "hid behind the door silently staring at the solicitors"! And you're working PT on top of all this, you are super mom. Sorry about the insurance deal, I hate insurances. Makes me want to move to France. Hopefully next week will be a little mellower for you :).
You did GREAT!!!! You are a supper MOM! Next week will be better and each week it will get better, or....well....maybe you will just get use to it more. That is so hard about the shopping cart and stoller thing since the shopping carts don't have two seats....I keep forgetting about that. I will soon have to deal with that too, ah oh, but Bug is old enough to walk but will he walk next to me??? that is the question.
You are a busy mommy there Jenny! Now thats got me interested in making my own weekly list! lol
Hopefully the insurance issue will resolve quickly!
I really enjoyed this list! I found some more things we have in common. I too, hide quietly from the solicitors. LOL Works well until you have 2 little ones yell out!
The other thing is the Kaiser pitfall. Not the same situation but a Kaiser pitfall never the less!
Staying at home and working is kinda hard isn't it? I am very impresed at all you have accomplished!
