We're Here! We're Here!!! YYYYYiPpEe!!!
It was hard to get a good picture of the dinner vouchers...and I'm sure I looked like a total dork taking picture after picture after picture....and then Brian too.....picture after picture. This was the best one. *L*
Now presenting room 2217 at Disney's Grand Californian....quiet on the set....quiet....
ROLL FILM!!
~
And pictures in case the video is too dark or in case you want to study the room and really marinate in it's greatness...
Enough of the room! It's 9:30 am so lets get to the park already!!
Now this would be the GOOD part of Disneyland. Since Brian proposed to me on this ride, the first ride of the day on any Disneyland or Disney World trip is alllllways Pirates of the Caribbean...FRONT ROW MANDITORY!! Holla!! to the cast member for taking this picture of us. (OK...enough of the holla's.)
LOOOVE Splash Mountain....but this would be the BAD part.....
And this would be the UGLY part. Soaked from head to toe....on a one night trip...with only one change of clothes....but thankfully the hotel supplies a hairdryer and shampoo. PHEW! (scroll back up to see the color change of my hoodie and pants. s...o...a...k...e...d.)
All dry and back for more fun.
Hollywood Tower of Terror is one of my favorites! Shocking since I suffer from such bad motion sickness....but for some reason this ride doesn't faze me. Notice the pink button that Brian is wearing...it says Happy Anniversary. A cast member at the restaurant gave it to us. It must be a rule that any cast member that sees you acknowledges the button because we were getting, "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" from everyone we came into contact with. *L* I took mine off because it was reminding me of the attention I get as a twin Mom so it made me a little sad that I was there without the boys. :(
In front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle....awwww.....
We slept pretty good in our home away from home...very comfy bed! Here Brian is pointing to our room...2217...remember??...the window directly above his head. We checked out, left our bags with baggage claim at the hotel, and went back to the park on Saturday morning for a few hours. The Super Shuttle would be there to pick us up at 2:30 for our 5:30 flight back home. (Why 3 freakin hours Super Shuttle?? Sheesh!!...the airport is only 40 minutes away! grrr....)
Anyway...we had a super great time! I'm so glad we stayed at the Grand Californian even if it was only for one night because we'll probably never get the chance to stay there again. It was nice to have a little break from reality and act like a kid. When I got home I cried a tiny bit because I missed my boys so much and their smiles when we came into the house were such a joy. Thanks again to my Mom for watching the boys. We wouldn't have this memory that will last a lifetime without your help. We love you!!
~
Stay tuned for the list of super highlights about the trip. Sorry but I'm just too tired to keep going and I have to work in the morning. Cheers!!

:) you are so funny. I loved the post. Glad that you guys were able to spend some time alone. And that you had fun and got to act like kid even if it was for one day.
Wow, I don't know where to begin! That hotel looks so nice. That was so cool that you guys got dinner vouchers, good thing Brian asked about it. Did you eat at the Storybook restaurant (I can't remember the exact name)? Your trip looks like SO much fun, I wish we could meet up when we go in June. I can't wait to ride Pirates, that is one of my favorites. And you guys really got soaked on Splash Mtn, I don't think I've ever got that wet! Your trip sounded like it was perfect because you got to enjoy Disney but only be away from your boys for a short amount of time. Oh, and I love your video :).
OMG!!! Ok, I went from ENVY ENVY ENVY to pure enjoyment and happiness for you as I was reading this post and looking at the pictures! What a wonderful anniversary! You must have asked a lot of strangers to take your pictures. LOL Dinner on the house?!?! WOW! You 2 are so lucky! That was HILARIOUS that you were texting your honey when separated and so darn sweet that he passed your sunglasses to you! LOL! THX for the still pics of the room cause it was too dark on video and I was yelling at my computer screen for you to turn on the lights! What a BEAUTIFUL room!! And Disney chocolates on the bed! Did you save them or eat them???
I am sure you missed your boys so much, but that is a memory of a lifetime. You guys are so cute! HOLLA!
Wow that is so cool!!! How spontaneous of you two!!! Thats so cool that you can just go there for a day! Loved the 'holla's lol
I LOVED reading this post-- you took so many good photos and it looks like you had such a great time together. How fun!!! :)
