Since it's now getting cooler and we have chilly hard wood floors, I ordered the boys some slippers to keep their feet warm. They were advertised as having suede soles for traction but when they arrived and I put them on the boys, their little feet slipped right out from under them and they looked like Bambi on ice! :( I remembered another MoM suggesting puff paint on the bottom of socks for traction so I headed to the craft store and bought some. It works! The boys love their slippers and they keep their feet nice and toasty!
Here's Jake modeling his slippers and a picture of the traction that I added to the soles.
Every time the boys wear their slippers I CRACK UP!
They look so funny to me!

Those are hilarious, I'm cracking up at them too! I feel like they should be wearing a short terry-cloth robe as well - lol. Good call on the puffy paint. I'm just jealous that you even have the need to cover up their feet and keep them toasty.
CUTE!! I have been wanting to buy slippers too.
You did the puffy paint so professionally! Maybe Children's Place could hire you to puffy paint all the slippers? :) Very cute!
Jake is looking very Hugh Heffner in that pose with the slippers!! *lol
They keep them on ok? Mine won't keep their on! Ugh.
