Yesterday we all got Flu shots...ugh. :( The nurse asked Brian and I if we wanted to get the nasal spray instead of a shot but when she said the boys were too young for the spray, we decided that if the boys had to have shots, we would too. I went first and I was holding Zack who was very scared....for me. Poor guy was freaking out watching the nurse gave me my shot. Then it was Daddy's turn and then it was Zack's turn....he cried really hard. :( Jake was last and the poor guy wasn't restrained enough and grabbed at the needle and the nurse yanked it out of his thigh before dispensing the vaccination and scraped his thigh pretty good with the needle..... :(....and then she jammed it in again!! Poor Jake got poked twice and scraped with the needle. He cried pretty hard and was bleeding all over the place. :( They got their stickers and we exited the room into a waiting room full of terrified looking kids. I'm glad they will be old enough for the nasal spray next year. PHEW!
After the shots we went home to put the boys down for their nap. After nap we went to lunch and then to the park. The boys had lots of fun running, sliding, climbing, and swinging. It was a BEAUTIFUL and WARM day for mid-November so we had to take full advantage!

I didn't even know they had a nasal spray, that will be so much better next year. Poor Jake, that made me cringe! I'm calling the pedi tomorrow to schedule our flu shot. The park looks like fun, I can't believe you guys are in shorts still. It's really warm here, but I thought it would be a lot colder up in N. CA. Your park looks fun.
Poor boy!!! Ow that sound so painful. I hope he doesn't bruise too bad. Is that hygenic to re-stick him like that? We had our flu shots last week, but we only did one shot last year so we have to go again in a month.
Oh poor baby!!! That is rough to be poked twice! ouch!!!
I am so jealous of your weather! We went out this morning and it was 37 degrees! bbrrrrrr!
Ok, how are you getting a flu shot while wearing shorts!!!!!!!!!! I'm jealous!
Poor Jake-- that must have hurt and been scary, too. I hate shots, too :(
