So this weekend I spent a little time by myself....shopping for the boys. *L* I should have gotten a massage for the amount of money I spent on the little buggers but we needed the things I bought so its all good. I headed to Babies R Us about an hour away and got the boys Potty Chairs and Booster Seats. Those four chairs alone were over $100....and that was with them being on sale and me getting a 10% twin discount! Twins are expensive people!! With everything else I bought, it was quite an expensive outing. Thank goodness gas prices are down! :)
I brought my loot home and the boys went nuts over the different types of chairs. They sat in them....carried them around, stood on them, and of course fought over them. *L* I haven't actually tried putting them on the potty chair without a diaper...but soon. After the boys went to bed we put the booster seats on the dining table chairs so the boys could use them in the morning. The boosters I got are not the ones I went to BRU to get (they only had pink Cooshie Boosters!! Sheesh!!) but they were on sale 20% off (+10% twin discount), they were not pink, and best of all, they have straps so I wont be so worried that the boys will slide or fall off. They are called Summer Infant Secure Comfort Foam Booster. They are working out really well and I can push the boys right up to the table and they have lots of leg room. They're still getting used to the extra freedom but hopefully in a few weeks the "newness" will have worn off and they will just sit there and eat. *L*
Here's our new chairs!!
Zack taking his Bjorn Potty Chair for a test drive.
Jake popping a wheelie in his Bjorn Potty Chair.
Test driving the Summer Booster. Wow is that thing ever green.
Jake's turn in his green monster!
Here they are having their first meal sitting at the table like big boys!!
I LOVE NOT SEEING HIGHCHAIRS IN THE BACKGROUND!! :)

I like this picture of Jake because he looks so excited....but the camera focused on the cup instead of him. :( Oh well....I guess it's time to learn manual mode! *L*
Zack gave me a cute smile. He enjoys sitting at the table. :)
And now for the other first! In addition to potty chair firsts and booster seat firsts, we had a climbing out of the crib first this morning courtesy of Jake! He managed to escape his crib, open his bedroom door, run down the hall, and surprise Daddy in the bathroom all while Mommy was behind closed doors working in the office....oblivious. I'm sure I'll get no sleep tonight while I lay awake wondering if Jake is playing in the toilet next to his room. UGH!
I'm not ready for toddler beds!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I get that massage now??

Those are the same potties we got!!! The boys love them!!! They are doing great using them too!! Good luck to you!
I looked at that same booster too! We are still using the one from our Fisher Price travel high chair, but I don't think Ethan will fit in it much longer. Let me know how you like yours after you use it for a few days!
Z&J look like such big boys at the table!!!!
I am sorry that the escape has started. Bug fell out of his crib one time but then he stayed inside for a very long time. Here is to hoping that it was just a fluke, but probably not hu? I will keep you in my prayers that you can deal with this new phase and make it through quickly. I know how nervous I was about Bug moving to a toddler bed. I wanted the cage of the crib to last forever.
They look like such big boys at the table. I can't wait to hear how the potty chairs work for you guys. We need to get going on that as well. I hope tonight is a better night and that Jake forgets that he learned how to climb out of the crib.
Isn't it crazy how expensive it is! I like the boosters you picked. Looks nice how they strap to the seats like that. The green is the color of Celia's cooshie booster. They are pretty vibrant. Isn't it SO nice to have the highchairs out!!!
Look at all the new developments, potty chairs, booster chairs...and escapee! One of my friends with twins got a crib tent to prolong the crib a bit long, if you aren't ready for the jump.
I hope your kids aren't as sloppy as mine, our table and chairs are the same color as yours and I am constantly having to scrub the food off.
You know the idea just occurred to me as I was typing that maybe I should get some cloth seat covers and I can toss them in the laundry after a few days. I do have some nice ivory ones I use around this time of the year...but maybe I should go darker. I'm going to have to keep my eye out for those!
