Happy Halloween! Part 2!

Here are more pictures from our dress rehearsal a few weeks ago. I knew they wouldn't be very cooperative tonight when it came down to the real deal being so close to bed, so I'm glad I took these!Zack's loving his costume!

Jake posing...very hansom. :)Jake practicing his Trick-or-Treat technique.

Going in!"I think I got a Carmel stuck in my tooth Mom."Zack being cheesy!

~

Today we decorated sugar cookies with the boys. We waited for Daddy to get home from work and had a great time as a family!A before picture of the candy trays to decorate with. Brian laughed at my color separation. *L*

Zack had a blast!

Jake was loving it too!Time for a taste!

Jake just wants a pure sugar rush...This is definitely the face of a PURE SUGAR RUSH!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Zack decides he'll have what Jake is having.

Frosting is craved apparently....but only by the men in this family....I'll pass.Zack's sugar rush finally struck! Finally! A picture with both of them smiling at the same time! YIPPEE!!

And another one! I've struck gold tonight!! I should buy Lottery tickets!Zack and Jake's edible art! :) Minus the one that Jake finished eating. Good times!!

~

After cookie decorating we fed the boys dinner and got them into their costumes and headed out to Grandma Myra's house...but first some practice Trick-or-Treating for good measure....Smile for Mommy!....Hey! Look at Mommy! Look at Mommy! Hey! Smile! Cheese!...
Yeah right..."click".

Load up! It's go time!Trick-or-Treat Grandma Myra!!!

A few pictures at Grandma's then it's back in the car and off to my former boss's house for another visit.

My friend and former boss Joanne LOVES Halloween and goes all out with decorations and costumes every year. This year she was a witch. The boys were a little scared....
Joanne's daughter Heather's costume was AMAZING! Edward Scissorhands! GREAT JOB!

Happy Halloween everyone! Hope it was safe!

That's awesome! They look like they had a blast! I also was laughing at your color separation...because it matters to the boys if everything is nice and organized, ya know! They looked really cute...love the costumes!

I really like how you got them to decorate cookies!!! Very clever and fun. I bet it was nice to organize colors - teaching kids organization is a missed skill and very important - so good for you. There was an article about teaching kids to organize in PARENTS because it also helps with brain development actually (I believe it helps with learning to classify and categorize items in thought).
They were very cute in their Disney costumes!

Wow I would never even THINK of putting that tray of separated items that can be chucked across the room and knocked on the floor in front of my two. You rock!!! Pooh and Tigger are my favs.... so those pics are awesome. And the one of the 3 guys at the end is crazy sweet!!

What a fun post to read! I laughed out loud b/c I bet I would have separated the toppings like that, too. The boys were so cute in their costumes and it looks like they had a great time. ;)

Need Christmas or Birthday Gift Ideas??
