Adventure's Over!

Well, we made it back home after lunch. Grandma flaked on us so it was Aunt Tiffany & Uncle Tom. Lunch was great and the boys behaved really good so I don't have any fun pictures to share of lunch.

However, we stopped at Blockbuster on the way home to get some educational movies like Rambo and 10,000 BC. I mean what better way to educate them on the conflict in Burma and prehistoric times?

When we got back in the car I put the key in the ignition and turned and I swear I heard laughing. It was completely dead! I wasn't even getting that annoying dinging that tells me the keys are in the ignition. After trying it several times just to make sure I wasn't imagining things, I called Aunt Tiffany who lives 30 miles away. I'm not sure what I was hoping she could do. I also called my lovely wife and let her know that Murphy's Law sucks. I then loaded up the kids and walked home. Thank god I was just around the corner from the house.

I made it home and put the kids down for a nap. I called Aunt Tiffany back and asked her if they could come down that night or in the morning so I could get a new battery for the car. The car is almost 8 years old and still has the original battery so it's due for a replacement. Anyhow, she called Grandma, yes the one who flaked on us earlier, (We love you Grandma) and Grandma called me. I had her come over to sit with the boys while I got a new battery and installed it in the car. Took about 20 minutes. I know Jenny normally posts lots of pictures with her stories but the only one I have is of the offending battery.

It sure is an ugly thing. I should have taken a picture of the new one as well but I was in a hurry. It's fancy with a red top and an extra 100 cold cranking amps. Don't worry I don't have any idea what that means either.

So I came home and Grandma was sitting around waiting on me and the boys were still sleeping. We waited for them to wake up and then we took Grandma to get her car. I left it at Blockbuster since she didn't have kids seats in her car.

We got home and I started dinner for the boys. Grilled cheese! Mmmmmmm! After they finished eating we had bath time. While I was cleaning up bath time I happened to look over my shoulder and much to my surprise Jake was pulling out all of the grassy moss in the fake plant he was cleaning with his tongue last week. I took video of that so this post isn't a total waste.

I love the way Zack's head snaps around when I said Momma! We all really miss her!

That is all for now. We are going back to Aunt Tiffany's for dinner tonight so we may have more fun stories to tell. Hopefully none that require me to walk home though.

Thanks for listening or reading!

I think this has to be the funniest post I've read on here (sorry Jenny :)). Glad everything turned out okay in the end!
