Week in Review ~ TGIF!

Lot's of things have happened this week....lots of pictures taken so I thought I'd just do another slide show and hit the highlights....

  • The boys are climbing everything in sight. Their favorite is the ottoman or the couch. I'm constantly saying, "Sit down" so now they are little mimics and say it allllll the time. The funny thing is, they climb up when I'm busy doing something like cooking or dishes and all of a sudden I'll hear, "Sit down!" Silly boys ratting themselves out. *L*
  • I introduced plates to the boys and they did great. I also realized that they didn't seem to know how to take a bite from their food so I gave them each a half of a banana without cutting it up like I normally do and a graham cracker square and they figured it out. :)
  • On the Twin Mom Message Board that I am a member of, there was a topic introduced about how Mom's shop with their kids....Shopping carts or Strollers? If I only have a few items then I put them in the stroller and grab the few things I need. The few times I've grocery shopped without Brian with the boys have been hard...pushing the stroller and pulling a cart behind me was tough on my wrists. One Mom had an idea that I liked since I've been too afraid to put one in the basket part of the cart for fear that they would fall out. She said she puts one in the seat portion of the cart and has a travel booster that she straps into the basket part of the Shopping cart and it works for her. I got the booster at Target and gave it a try. The buckles on the straps of the booster would not go through the holes on the cart (DAG!!) so since Zack is less of a "hazard" to himself, I put him in the booster in the cart which I think "tricked" him into believing he couldn't stand up because he was strapped into a seat. It worked and the trip was much easier than dragging a cart behind me.....YIPPEE!!.....but I came up with a safer solution. I remembered that I had a roll of Velcro so I cut 2 pieces to strap the back and seat portion of the booster to the cart and it worked! I can't wait to go shopping again! *L*
  • We did some coloring....and some sucking on the markers. Thankfully they are washable and it was bath night!
  • I bought the boys a picnic table and umbrella. I set up the pup tent in the back yard and now that the gate is up, they are pretty much free to run around while I relax and enjoy watching them play. :)
  • I finished my appeal to Kaiser for my denial of Individual coverage and mailed it today. Two of my doctors wrote letters on my behalf so hopefully they work and I don't have to continue COBRA. *Fingers crossed.*

I love the picture of the cart! Smart idea. I take it for granted that I have my Zach to push a 2nd cart for me:) Your back yard looks like so much fun! It looks like a little park! Let's all go to March Park! :)

Crossing my fingers for your Kaiser appeal.

Have a wonderful weekend! HAPPY FATHERS DAY BRIAN!

Yes keeping my fingers crossed for the Kaiser appeal too.
And I love your toys in the back yard. I never thought of a pup tent but that is GREAT! I will have to get one too now. :)

What a great backyard set-up! Looks like a vacation spot for toddlers, lol. Maybe we'll have to try putting up our pup tent for them. I bet they would love it!
I like your travel seats!! Do you think they will be able to be used long?

Wow, your backyard is awesome! I wish our backyard was set up like that, it's like your own personal park. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the kaiser appeal too. Glad you guys got something figured out for grocery shopping, it can definitely be tricky with two!

Need Christmas or Birthday Gift Ideas??
