Today was warm enough for a pool party in our backyard. Grammy came over with her dog Madison and I gave Grammy, Brian, and Gerdie haircuts while the boys were napping. After "Jenny's Salon and Dog Grooming" closed for business, we filled up the pool with warm water from a hose hooked up to our water heater in the garage and then switched to cold to make it just right for Chunky Dunking! The boys woke up and we put them in their trunks and water shoes and they dove in! They had fun. :) They like to climb in and out of the pool....in and out...in and out. If it was me, I'd just stay in there forever....ahhh. :)
After the pool party was over we BBQ'd burgers and had Tater Tots....deeeeelish! The boys went right to bed...zonked out immediately...and Brian and I went to work rearranging the living room. We took the Superyard outside to block the stairs on the deck that way the boys are not tempted to climb up them, and then fall down them since they have no concept of going down stairs yet. We need to secure the deck somehow because when they are outside they are always messing with the deck steps (which is nerve wracking to me!) and Zack got out the doggy door today while I was doing a diaper change on Jake! I looked over and he was outside! My heart jumped and I yelled, "OMG!" I got him back inside safely but for my peace of mind, we put the gate outside so I can chill a little and enjoy myself with them outside more. Without the Superyard the living room looks bigger!! Its late and dark right now but I'll post pictures tomorrow when it's light out. Signing off!

Great Pictures. They are so lucky to have parents who want them to be comfortable in their swimming pool, all warm. Nice. Bug wants to heat up his sprinklers all the time but I can't. It is just cold. Maybe if it ever finally gets to 90 degrees here *probably a week before I deliver* he will finally be happy for that COLD sprinkler water. LOL Probably not.
Can't wait to see the pictures of the living room.
I totally agree about needed something *the gate on the stairs on the deck* to help you not be so stressed out. Over time they will get more sure on their feet and you will not worry so much about them getting hurt. When Bug was first learning to climb the couch, I was a nervous wreck, but now when he does it he seems so more steady and is not so wabbly so I am not so nervous. Well until he climbs to the top and thinks the couch is a trampaline, and he wants to fly off the top. Then yes, I am nervous again. LOL I guess it really never ends.
WOW...not only did you 'SKIN' us all with haircuts...and cook a great meal!...you rearranged everything! Where did you get the energy?? I think staying at home is good for you...*smiles*
Awww, they look so cute in their swimming trunks :). How scary that Zack got out through the doggy door. There have been moments when one baby is hiding or extremely quiet and I get this panic feeling, like where are they?! Glad you guys figured a way so that you can relax and let them roam free outside.
I love the baby pool! Brandon hates the pool unless we remove the water. Grrr.
Sounds like fun! SIGH now I want tater tots.
