Coming Home Today

So my visit with my Sister is coming to an end today. I got here on Friday and head home this evening. Thank goodness for direct flights! :) Here's a recap of my weekend.

We arrived Friday at 10:30 am and had a little lunch that my sister made and then my sister and her husband went for massages while my Mom and I stayed home and relaxed. I was able to take a short nap which perked me up. After they came back from their massages, my sister and I went to the mall to find her a maternity belt...hence the picture a few posts ago. That night we had Subway for dinner.

Saturday was my sisters Baby Shower and it was HOT! We went to lunch at Red Robin and had yummy burgers and fries....sooooo gooood....then we headed to the Baby Shower. My sister got lots of nice gifts and her friend that coordinated the shower had a fun craft session where everyone decorated onesies for the baby. What a neat idea! It was so hot in the church where the shower was so we headed down into the basement where it was much cooler and opened up gifts down there. Here are a few pictures from the shower.

After the shower we went to the grocery store and got Brats and Pasta Salad fixings for dinner. I cooked for everyone and we ate outside which was nice since it was starting to cool off a bit. PHEW!!

Sunday we went to TGI Fridays for lunch...not very good service or food...but it was still a nice time. :( Sunday seemed hotter than Saturday but hard to tell...I think my core was still hot from the day before! After lunch we went to Starbucks and I got to try a new treat that we don't have at the Starbucks in California....a Mint Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino with Chocolate Whip! OMG.....soooooo gooooood! I hope it's new and the next time I go at home it will be on the menu!! After the Starbucks drive-thru, we headed to a different mall to get out of the heat and run a few errands. After we got home my Mom and I decorated the baby's room since my sister had not finished it yet because she's been so tired due to her pregnancy. We put up a cute flower border, added lady bugs to the border, put her name up on the closet door, moved her curtains around and rearranged the furniture. The end result is cute and I think the room is ready for a baby now! :)

Dinner was egg salad sandwiches and then off to bed after watching Enchanted for the 15th million time per Spencer's request. :)

This brings us to today....Monday....and here I am typing this. My suitcase is all packed...I just finished my grilled cheese sandwich lunch that my BIL made, and I'm trying to recall the last few days which is hard because I think the heat fried my brain. I've missed my boys and my hubby terribly but it's been nice to SLEEP IN to 8am the last few days...aaaaah. :) That's something I haven't done in...I couldn't even tell you how long!! I'll be heading to the airport in a few hours so I better wrap this up! Thanks to my sister Brenda, her hubby Bryan, and my nephew Spencer for sharing their home with me and my Mom for a few days.
